The black Kalavritino is a indigenous red variety of the area of Kalavryta and in general the mountainous Aigialeia. It is a variety that gives wines with medium color, several tannins, medium to full body and aromas reminiscent of red and black fruits, flowers and spices. The wines from this variety seem to have the potential to evolve for a few years in the bottle. It is found in single varietal wines and blends with indigenous and international varieties.
